First, check your circuit breakers and verify none of them are “tripped” off. If you find a tripped breaker, try resetting it first. If this does not work or you do not have any tripped breakers, you can check for a GFCI outlet that may be tripped. GFCI outlets will have a “reset” and “test” button on them. They are normally located in garages, kitchens, bathrooms, or outside. Sometimes these outlets trip due to moisture or other issues. If you find one, try to reset it. If this does not fix your problem, contact us and we can help!
To reset your circuit breaker, make sure you turn it to the OFF position first, then try to turn it to the ON position. If the breaker still won’t reset, you may have an issue that needs to be diagnosed by an electrician.
At Blue Line Electric, we do not charge by the hour. We charge by the item or task. We find this works out much better for our customers because they know the exact cost before we even start the job. Even if the job takes hours longer than expected, you still pay the same price.
If you are looking to hire an electrician, you need to verify that the company holds the appropriate licenses. You can search the state database for electrician licenses and find more information here.
Call or email us and we will do our best to get you the answer you need!

These steps are to help you better understand what to expect from us on a residential electrical service call, from the time you contact us to the time we complete the project.
Contact us by phone, email, or the online booking form and we can discuss your problem and what service you want to have done. We can try to give you an estimate for the work before responding to your residence. This is not always possible, but we can usually at minimum give a “ballpark” estimate. There are several variables that can change the price of your service, so we do not give official quotes before seeing your project in person.
Next, we will schedule your job or initial inspection and dispatch a technician to your home. You will receive a text notification and email notification of the scheduled date/time of your appointment. When our technician is en route to your home, you will also receive a text notification that says we are on the way and the name of the technician who will service you.
When our technician arrives, he will confirm all work that needs to be completed and confirm your pricing/quote with you. You will be responsible for our service fee of $59 once our technician meets with you at your residence. This fee will be applied to your next visit if this is only an estimate and we are performing the work at a later date. At this point, your price will not change no matter how long it takes us to complete the project (unless you add additional items to the scope of work). Once you have accepted the price quote, we will begin or schedule your project.
After we have completed the project, we will clean up our work area and make sure you are happy with the results. Once you are satisfied with the work completed, we will send you an email with the completed invoice and collect the payment that is due.
After we are done and onto the next project, you will receive a review request. We appreciate any reviews at the end of the project so that we and other customers can see that you were happy with our service. If you are not completely satisfied with the service you received, feel free to contact us directly and we will be sure to make it right!
